Christie's Geneva Magnificent Jewels (13 May 2026) totalled CHF 51,859,550 with a 99% sell-through by lot. Coloured stones were a named pillar of the sale. The house highlights a Chaumet ring set with a 22.28 ct cushion Kashmir sapphire, no indications of heating, called Royal Blue, at CHF 2,744,000, and a Harry Winston ring with a 76.39 ct oval cabochon sapphire at CHF 1,768,000.
Roskin's lot notes add detail dealers actually use. The Winston cabochon carries 2026 Gübelin wording for Burma (Myanmar), no heat, and 2026 SSEF wording for Ceylon (Sri Lanka), no heat. That is not a rumour. It is two top labs on one mounted stone. Buyers comparing Ceylon unheated blues to Burma narrative should read both reports, not the marketing headline alone.
Other coloured-stone prints from the same catalogue (Roskin): a Bulgari 9.82 ct Kashmir with Royal Blue language on SSEF and Gübelin at CHF 1,365,250; a Hemmerle 6.61 ct unheated Kashmir at CHF 482,600; and a Tabbah 13.44 ct Mozambique Paraíba (SSEF appendix, treatment undetermined, stable colour) at CHF 698,500 against a CHF 160,000–240,000 estimate.
For Gem Shop readers, Geneva hammers are comps, not invoices. Our listing price is the stone only. Landed cost (export paperwork, freight and insurance, your VAT or duties) is quoted separately on WhatsApp. Watch the daylight-balanced video, confirm heat status on the card, and treat Royal Blue as trade language that travels with the lab that said it.
